Job summary

eFinancialCareers is recruiting a Management Accountant for a major UK construction project, based in Birmingham with hybrid/flexible working. You will join a finance team supporting project financial performance, working with senior stakeholders and contributing to the wider finance function.

The role covers monthly management accounts, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow monitoring and balance sheet reporting, with opportunities for professional development within the organisation.

Qualifications

• Qualified professional with expertise in management accounting and budgeting.
• Experience in financial reporting and MI preparation.
• Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Experience with cash flow management and balance sheet reporting.

Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly management accounts, financial reports and supporting commentary.
• Monitoring cash flow, working capital and project costs.
• Supporting budgets, forecasts, quarterly reviews and group reporting packs.
• Analysing financial performance against forecasts and identifying variances.
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting year-end audit requirements.
• Maintaining financial controls across payments, purchase-to-pay processes, VAT and other taxes.
• Working with operational and commercial stakeholders to provide financial insight and support decision-making.
• Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes and controls.
