Job summary

PPM Recruitment in Birmingham is seeking a Recruitment Consultant with a construction or M&E background. You will drive recruitment across permanent and temporary roles, develop client relationships, and source suitable candidates while meeting activity and revenue targets.

The role requires a proactive, organised individual with strong admin and negotiation skills, comfortable in a busy office environment with core hours 8:30am–5pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Excellent B2B customer sales skills and relationship builder.
• Ability to achieve revenue targets consistently.
• Self-motivated and resilient personality.
• Persistent and a resilient mindset with rebound capability after disappointment.
• Accurate admin and recording of activity on our database software.
• Commercially aware with good negotiation skills.
• Construction or M&E background.

Responsibilities

• New business gained through a structured and consultative business development approach.
• Manage, nurture and build relationships.
• Develop understanding of client vacancy requirements and future work.
• Source suitable applicants, assess knowledge and skills, build relationships.
• Obtain candidate RTW documentation, certificates, and licences.
• Manage and update the database with all records and paperwork.
• Cross-sell between temporary, permanent and divisions/regions.
• Collaborate with colleagues in other parts of the business.
• Achieve agreed activity and revenue targets.
• Develop industry/sector/subject matter expertise.
