Job summary

Qualifications

• High level of construction liability underwriting knowledge.
• Understanding of technical underwriting, philosophy and Company trading strategy.
• Ability to interpret and effectively use management information.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of the local insurance market practices.
• Build internal relationships with Line of Business Managers and Underwriters.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development and promotion of Munich Re Engineering and Construction products.
• Underwrite new and renewal business in line with underwriting guidelines and appetite.
• Handle end-to-end cases for the allocated portfolio to deliver joint business plans.
• Make effective on-site decisions within delegated authority for intermediaries.
• Deal with complex accounts, ensuring tailored solutions and risk appropriate decisions.
• Plan and process own work to meet customer service and credit targets.
• Undertake other duties as directed within the job function.
• Support underwriting strategy, forecasts and portfolio management.
• Represent and promote Munich Re externally with intermediaries and customers.
