Job summary

Munich Re is seeking an experienced Underwriter focused on construction liability within its Engineering and Construction umbrella. You will underwrite new and renewal business in line with guidelines and appetite, and manage end-to-end case handling for the allocated portfolio to support joint business development plans.

Qualifications

• High level of construction liability underwriting knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of the local insurance market practices.
• Understanding of underwriting philosophy and Company trading strategy.
• Ability to interpret and effectively use management information.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal business in line with underwriting guidelines and appetite.
• Handle end-to-end cases for the allocated portfolio to meet joint business plans.
• Make effective on-site decisions within delegated authority for allocated intermediaries.
• Develop strong relationships with allocated intermediaries and customers.
• Deliver high levels of customer service and meet targets including credit control.
