Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Construction Lecturer in Cambridge to teach Brick Laying, Electrical Installations, Plumbing and Multiskills to apprentices and students. The role may include some remote work and requires current DBS clearance and relevant construction qualifications.

The position offers market-rate pay, guaranteed payment schemes, CPD courses, and a referral bonus, with support from dedicated consultants and a strong progression channel.

Qualifications

• Relevant Construction Qualifications (Degree, Level 3 or other recognised quals).
• DBS (and on update service).
• Great industry experience and knowledge (Crucial).
• Knowledge of the Apprenticeship Standards and E-portfolio system (Smart Assessors) is beneficial.
• Ideally hold or be prepared to work towards an Assessor and Verification award, e.g., TAQA, A1 or V1.
• A minimum of Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Teach construction courses and apprentices at various levels.
• Share industry experience to help students progress.
• Assess construction students where applicable.
• Collaborate with colleges in Cambridge and support onboarding of learners.
