Job summary

Vickerstock, partnering with a leading UK construction contractor, seeks a Health & Safety Advisor to support projects across the Oxfordshire region. You will advise site teams, review RAMS, promote a positive safety culture, and ensure compliance on high-value projects.

Prospective candidates should hold NEBOSH or equivalent, have strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation, valid CSCS, and demonstrable experience in site inspections and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH or equivalent required.
• Strong knowledge of current UK Health & Safety legislation.
• Experience conducting site inspections and reviewing contractor Health & Safety documentation.
• Proven accident and incident investigation experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical Health & Safety advice and guidance to project and site teams.
• Promote a positive Health & Safety culture across employees, contractors and subcontractors.
• Carry out regular site inspections and ensure company policies and procedures are implemented.
• Review subcontractor documentation, including RAMS and safe systems of work.
• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company standards.
• Lead and support Health & Safety initiatives across project operations.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
• Deliver and support Health & Safety training for managers, employees and site teams.
