Job summary

Prince Personnel Limited is seeking a Finance Manager in Telford. This permanent role is 37.5 hours per week with a salary in the range of £50,000 to £60,000, depending on experience. The successful candidate will lead monthly management accounts, budgeting, and project financials while overseeing a finance team.

You will liaise with Directors and project teams to improve profitability, ensure compliance, and drive robust financial controls across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar Finance Manager role with line management.
• Construction industry experience and CIS/WIP understanding.
• Ability to lead budgeting, forecasting and financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts with P&L, balance sheet, cashflow and variance analysis.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and strategic financial analysis.
• Manage project financials including job costing, WIP, and cost-to-complete.
• Collaborate with project teams to improve profitability.
• Oversee day-to-day finance operations: ledgers, payroll, VAT, CIS, invoicing, year-end.
• Maintain cashflow, working capital, and supplier payments to ensure liquidity.
• Ensure statutory/regulatory compliance and liaison with external accountants.
• Develop robust financial controls and reporting processes.
• Mentor finance team and foster financial awareness.
