Job summary

Pertemps Bristol Commercial in Keynsham near Bristol is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead day-to-day finance, manage cashflow and oversee a finance team in a hands-on role. You will prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, VAT, payroll, and financial reporting while driving improvements in controls, processes and commercial analysis to support senior management.

The role offers £40,000-£50,000 depending on experience, a bonus scheme, private healthcare, pension and clear

Qualifications

• Strong Excel skills and the ability to analyse financial data.
• Commercially minded, well organized and able to work independently.
• Experience managing or leading a finance function is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and P&L reports.
• Manage cashflow forecasting, budgets and financial reporting.
• Oversee purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control and bank reconciliations.
• Manage VAT returns, payroll and other financial compliance.
• Monitor working capital, debtor and creditor performance.
• Produce management information, KPIs and financial analysis.
• Maintain strong financial controls and accurate accounting records.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and reporting.
• Manage and develop the finance team.
• Support senior management with budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis.

Finance Manager Keynsham, Bristol

£40,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience) Full-time, Permanent

We're recruiting an experienced Finance Manager for a growing business based in Keynsham. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for the day-to-day finance function, management reporting and the finance team. You'll work closely with senior management, providing accurate financial information and helping to strengthen processes, controls and commercial decision-making.

The role

• Prepare monthly management accounts and P&L reports
• Manage cashflow forecasting, budgets and financial reporting
• Oversee purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control and bank reconciliations

What we're looking for

• AAT qualified, part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA, or qualified by experience
• Previous experience managing or leading a finance function
• Strong management accounts experience
• Good knowledge of cashflow forecasting, VAT and payroll
• Experience across purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience using Xero
• Commercially minded, organised and confident working independently
• Previous team management experience
