Job summary

Confidential is seeking a detail-focused finance professional to support day-to-day supplier and customer financial activities in the United Kingdom. You will post invoices, reconcile statements, maintain records, and assist with payments, CIS verification, and bi-weekly subcontractor payment certificates.

You will also help with bank reconciliations, cash flow reporting, WIP analysis, and monthly management accounts, with exposure to audits and ad hoc duties as required.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping.
• GCSEs at grades 9-4 (A-C) including English and Maths.
• Enrolled on, or eligible to enrol on, an AAT or ACCA programme.

Responsibilities

• Post supplier and overhead invoices, including CIS invoices.
• Reconcile supplier statements and respond to supplier enquiries.
• Maintain up-to-date supplier records.
• Assist Finance Director with supplier payments processing.
• Carry out HMRC verification of suppliers/subcontractors.
• Prepare bi-weekly subcontractor labour payment certificates and CIS deductions.
• Process customer applications for payment and receipts; prepare aged debtor report.
• Reconcile credit card statements for posting.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and weekly cash flow reporting.
• Run monthly WIP reports; reconcile WIP balances with commercial/operational teams.
• Support monthly management accounts and overhead variance analysis.
• Assist with annual audit enquiries.
• Undertake ad hoc duties as required.
