Job summary

Henley Chase in Lewes is seeking a diligent Finance Assistant to manage supplier invoices, reconcile statements, respond to supplier enquiries and assist with CIS verifications.

The role also covers preparation of payments, bank reconciliations, WIP reporting, and supporting monthly management accounts and audits. AAT/ACCA-eligible candidates with solid double-entry bookkeeping knowledge are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at grades 9-4 (A-C), including English and Maths.
• Enrolled on, or eligible to enrol on, an AAT or ACCA programme.
• Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Post supplier and overhead invoices, including CIS elements.
• Reconcile supplier statements and respond to supplier enquiries.
• Maintain accurate supplier records and process supplier payments.
• Carry out HMRC verification of suppliers and subcontractors.
