Job summary

Sphere Solutions in Exeter is seeking a hands-on Estimator to join our established construction team. You will produce accurate cost estimates for projects ranging from £300k to £5m, support tender submissions, and work with senior management to drive profitable bids.

Based in Exeter, the role offers a permanent position with a competitive package (up to £75,000 per annum, £5,000 car allowance, private medical cover and 25 days of annual leave).

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Construction Estimator.
• Experience on projects £300k–£5m.
• Strong knowledge of cost planning and tendering.
• Proficient in Excel and estimating software.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects.
• Analyse tender documentation and drawings to identify risks, opportunities, and scope requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate pricing.
• Support bid submissions, value engineering exercises, and contract negotiations.
• Maintain and update estimating databases and cost records.
