We have a fantastic opportunity for an Estimator to join an established main contractor based in Southampton. The business, a reputable regional contractor with a strong presence on the south coast, undertakes a diverse project portfolio which includes projects across the commercial, education, leisure and extra care sectors valuing up to £20mil.

About the role of Estimator:

As Estimator, you will be working closely with the rest of the pre-construction team to compile competitive bids. You will be able to tender projects independently and offer assistance to the junior members of the team. You may also be required to work with other Estimators on larger, more complex bids.

• Work from first principles
• Independently tender projects valuing up to £20mil.
• Work collaboratively with Surveying and Operational teams to produce competitive tenders
• Support and mentor junior members of staff

Key Requirements as Estimator:

• Track record of successfully tendering schemes valued up to £20mil
• Experience with competitive tendering and negotiated schemes
• Experience with single and two-stage tenders.
• Live within a commutable distance to Southampton and be happy to travel to office and site when required
• Have the full right to work in the UK
