Job summary

Nacro in Leeds is seeking a dedicated Teacher of Construction to join a small, local team. You will focus on teaching, learning and assessment, helping students progress toward qualifications while supporting their pastoral needs within the centre.

The role involves planning lessons, delivering engaging sessions, monitoring progress, and ensuring courses run to a high standard. An enhanced DBS is required, and there is no visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• English and Maths at GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent Level 2.
• Experience in trade preferred.
• Construction-based qualifications level 2 and above.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for learning by planning lessons, developing resources, and caring for classroom spaces.
• Monitoring students' progress on their course, providing feedback and support so that students can improve.
• Assessing students and their work so that they achieve as expected and as needed for their next steps.
• Working with colleagues to enhance delivery, identify support needs, and contribute to student experience and enrichment.
• Deliver tutorial or skills lessons using ready-made lessons resources.
