Job summary

Kanadevia Inova, based in the United Kingdom, seeks a Cost Controller for its Power Plant construction project in Walsall. The role offers hybrid working after an initial 3-month period, with on-site presence five days a week during the start phase.

You will monitor costs, forecast variances, and coordinate with Head Office (Zurich) and site teams to secure margins. Strong IFRS PoC experience and EPC contract knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost control for projects, ideally construction/engineering or project accounting.
• Strong command of SAP B1 and IFS.
• Excellent MS Excel skills and financial analysis experience.
• Solid understanding of project controlling and financial management.
• Experience with Percentage-of-completion accounting under IFRS (PoC IFRS).
• Familiarity with EPC contract commercial processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project costs and analyze deviations from the plan, providing regular forecasts (cost to complete).
• Coordinate with Head Office teams and site management to control costs and revenues recognition.
• Manage local costs (petty cash, credit cards, cheques, project bank accounts) and liaise with regional HQ accounting.
• Oversee accruals for Civil and Site Lots to control project margins.
• Review and approve invoices from subcontractors.
