Job summary

MarcDaniels in West London is seeking an Assistant Bookkeeper to join the established team. You will handle sales and purchase ledgers, reconcile bank and credit cards, and support cash flow analysis while maintaining VAT and CIS compliance.

The role requires IT literacy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate confidently with colleagues and subcontractors. AAT Level 3 or higher is preferred, with full-time availability.

Qualifications

• AAT Level 3 or higher qualification is required or higher.
• IT literate and able to communicate confidently with employees, customers and subcontractors.
• Full-time professional with experience, preferably in construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Processing Sales and Purchase ledger invoices.
• Bank & Credit Card reconciliation.
• Maintaining and producing cash flow analysis.
• VAT and CIS knowledge for HMRC submission.
• Preparing labour timesheets for management sign-off.
• Liaising with site personnel, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Assisting in preparing year end accounts.
• Monitoring cash flow and preparing trial balances and schedules.
• Project costing.
• Registering and verifying new suppliers and subcontractors in the system.
• General ad-hoc administration.
• Working with the Office Manager to ensure smooth office operations.
