Job summary

Ringway Jacobs in Congleton is seeking a highly organised Construction Administrator to support a varied highways and infrastructure programme. The role is primarily based in Congleton with occasional travel to Essex to assist wider project activities and ensure timely delivery.

You will maintain project documentation, monitor information, coordinate with project teams and stakeholders, and assist with reporting and permits while adhering to health, safety and environmental procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction/highways/civil engineering environments is preferred.
• Strong admin and organisational skills are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is expected.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accurate records.
• Understanding of construction project processes and documentation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the coordination and delivery of construction and maintenance projects.
• Maintain accurate project records, schedules and programme data.
• Prepare and update project documentation, reports and technical information.
• Assist with monitoring project progress against key milestones and deadlines.
• Coordinate information between project teams, contractors and external stakeholders.
• Support the management of permits, road space bookings and traffic management requirements.
• Carry out site visits to monitor progress and report issues to project teams.
• Assist with monitoring project costs, valuations and expenditure records.
• Help manage customer enquiries, defects and project-related correspondence.
• Support compliance with health, safety and environmental procedures.
