Job summary

Ringway Jacobs is seeking a Highway Design Support Technician to assist in developing and delivering highway, traffic management and civil engineering schemes across Cheshire East. You will produce drawings, contribute to design work and support project documentation from feasibility through to construction.

The role offers opportunities to develop technical skills within a professional highways design environment and to progress with Ringway Jacobs.

Qualifications

  • - HNC in Civil Engineering or working towards similar qualification (desirable).
  • - Experience in a highways, civil engineering or technical design environment.
  • - Knowledge of highway design principles and construction practices (desirable).
  • - Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D (essential).
  • - Experience using Microsoft Office applications (essential).
  • - Good organisational skills and attention to detail (essential).
  • - Ability to work effectively as part of a team (essential).
  • - Good written and verbal communication skills (essential).
  • - Commitment to professional development and continuous learning (essential).

Responsibilities

Job description

Reporting to the Design Team Leader and working under the supervision of Engineers and Senior Engineers, you will provide technical support in the development and delivery of highway, traffic management and civil engineering schemes across Cheshire East. You will assist with the production of drawings, design information and project documentation, supporting projects from initial feasibility through to construction. The role offers excellent opportunities to develop technical skills and progress within a professional highways design environment.

The Role
