Job summary

Ringway Jacobs, a leading highways service provider, is seeking a proactive assistant to provide technical, administrative and site support to the Construction Delivery Team in Crewe. You will assist Project Managers and Engineers to monitor milestones, prepare drawings and schedules, review records, and help manage costs, while promoting safety and quality across schemes.

Qualifications

• Experience in highways, construction, civil engineering or infrastructure environment.
• Understanding of highway construction and maintenance activities.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements applicable to construction projects.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications and project management systems.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and construction information.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate highway construction and maintenance schemes across the capital programme.
• Support Project Managers and Engineers in monitoring progress against programme milestones and delivery objectives.
• Prepare and update drawings, plans, schedules and associated technical documents.
• Review construction records, inspection reports and as-built information.
• Support programme reporting by collecting and updating project performance information.
• Assist with monitoring project costs, valuations and expenditure against allocated budgets.
• Promote a positive health, safety and environmental culture across all projects.
• Ensure RAMS and Safe Systems of Work are available and implemented.

Job description

To provide technical, administrative and site support to the Construction Delivery Team in the planning, coordination and delivery of a high-value highways capital programme. The postholder will assist Project Managers, Engineers and Supervisors in ensuring schemes are delivered safely, efficiently, to specification, and within agreed timescales and budgets.
The role will support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of highway improvement projects including carriageway resurfacing, footway reconstruction, drainage improvements, structures maintenance, active travel schemes and public realm enhancements.

The Role
