Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team and become a subject matter expert in infrastructure charges. The role offers the opportunity to work with other water companies in receiving and processing clean connection data and resolving customer queries following invoicing.
Location
Central Reading, Berkshire or Walnut Court, Swindon.
Responsibilities
- Manage infrastructure charges billing for Thames Water’s waste services, working closely with Water Only Companies (WOCs) and external customers.
- Raise accurate invoices promptly upon receiving the required data.
- Analyse the data supplied to provide an estimate of waste infrastructure charge income and monitor the amount invoiced for the release of accruals.
- Answer customer queries and payment disputes related to these charges and report on any bad debt arising.
- Collate, produce and issue quarterly Licence Condition D reporting to external water companies to satisfy obligations under Licence Conditions C & D.
- Assist with customer queries, explain requirements to accept payment terms in arrears, and maintain a register of accepted security under guidance from the Connections Manager.
- Support the production of the annual statement for customer deposits, including processing refunds, handling customer enquiries on balances, and monitoring cash payments and debt.
- Assist with monthly monitoring of bulk schemes for Thames Water delivered service connections and self-lay service connections, contributing to month-end reviews and deadlines.
- Support the Connections Manager in the collation of data for unit rate reviews and work mix analysis.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent standards of accuracy and attention to detail
- High level of numeracy, data analysis and reporting
- Customer handling experience
- Experience in raising invoices, refunds and creating and running reports
- Extensive administration experience
- Strong PC skills, particularly MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
Desirable Qualities
- Experience in SAP, data analysis, Navision, and CRM
