Job summary

Warwickshire County Council is seeking a Project Officer to support the Connect to Work Programme within the Employability and Skills team. The role involves working with the Service Team Manager and Programme Managers to design, develop, and manage projects aimed at helping young people and adults with health barriers secure or maintain employment.

The post is based at the Warwickshire Skills Hub in Nuneaton with countywide travel.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification or minimum of one year’s work experience.
• Project management skills including planning and attention to detail.
• Financial management skills.
• Good interpersonal skills including ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
• Good communication skills both in person and writing.
• Highly developed IT skills.
• An ability to collect, analyse and understand data.
• An ability to work on own initiative including planning and organising work with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Supported Employment Service Team Manager, Programme Managers and other staff with the design, development, commissioning and management of projects within the Connect to Work Programme.
• Provide project and contract management support on Connect to Work projects, programmes, initiatives and campaigns.
• Manage individual Connect to Work projects, initiatives, and campaigns.
