Job summary

Career Legal is recruiting on behalf of a top US law firm for a Conflicts Analyst in London. This role sits in the Office of General Counsel and supports new matter intake and lateral attorney hiring, focusing on identifying and resolving conflicts of interest.

You will work closely with attorneys, the OGC and a Senior Conflicts Attorney, reviewing intake requests, drafting waiver letters, and preparing concise conflict reports. Hybrid working in London with regular office attendance is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of experience in a Legal Conflicts role.
• Ability to commute to the London office regularly (approx. 3 days/week).
• Familiarity with conflicts databases such as iManage, S&P Capital IQ or D&B Hoovers.

Responsibilities

• Review intake requests for new and existing clients.

We are currently working closely with a top US law firm and their London office - they're looking for a Legal Conflicts professional to join them on a permanent basis, working as their new Conflicts Analyst.

You'll be part of the Office of General Counsel, responsible for supporting new matter intake and lateral attorney hiring - identifying and resolving conflicts of interest. This role will involve you working closely with the attorneys, members of the OGC and a Senior Conflicts Attorney.

As the successful Conflicts Analyst, you'll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

• Reviewing intake requests for new and existing clients
• Preparing summary reports for relevant attorneys, identifying potential conflicts of interest
• Drafting and reviewing waiver letters and engagements letters
• Reviewing and analysing conflicts of interest reports
• Conducting thorough and regular research
• Identifying and escalating conflicts and unresolved issues, when necessary

To be considered for this Conflicts Analyst opportunity, you'll need to be/have the following:

• Have a minimum of 12 months experience in a Legal Conflicts role
• Be able to commute to the London office on a regular basis (around 3 days per week, 2 days from home)
