Job summary

A London-based Senior Conflicts Analyst role is available in partnership with a leading US law firm. You will support new client and matter intake through research, conflicts analysis, clearance and escalation, collaborating with colleagues across jurisdictions.

You’ll bring 3–5 years’ experience in a law firm conflicts team, applying UK and US conflicts rules, with strong research and communication skills, sound judgement and discretion in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience applying UK and US conflicts rules in new business intake.

Responsibilities

• Research new clients and relevant parties, including corporate ownership structures.
• Conduct conflicts searches and process requests through the firm’s conflicts and new business intake platform, ensuring reports contain relevant results.
• Analyze potential conflicts under applicable UK and US rules, progressing clearances and assisting with consent and waiver drafting where appropriate.
• Communicate findings clearly to matter teams, identifying issues that require input or resolution and escalating in line with firm procedures.
• Open, update and close matters, and support the onboarding of lateral candidates.
• Create and adjust ethical screens as required.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of conflicts rules and approaches across practice areas and client engagement terms.
• Assist with report generation and other departmental administration.

You’ll bring strong research and communication skills, sound judgement, discretion and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment. Experience with corporate research databases and working effectively across a global team is essential.
