Job summary

Safran Engineering Services is seeking a Configuration Manager to lead CM activities on site in Pitstone. The role is a 6-month contractor position Inside IR35 with potential for permanency, working closely with the UK Configuration Management Leader to maintain data integrity and traceability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years Configuration Management experience in a rigorous engineering/technical or data management environment.
• Working knowledge of CM Standards: ISO10007
• Experience in Aerospace, Space, Military, Automotive, or Petro-Chemical Industry
• Excellent logical thinker

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement CM planning for new and existing projects.
• Create and manage Configuration Items (CI) and BOMs in the PLM system.
• Establish and maintain configuration baselines (FBL, ABL, PBL).
• Coordinate and manage Change Control Boards (CCBs) as Co-Chair.
• Ensure traceability, data integrity, and compliance across the lifecycle.
• Write, maintain, and enforce the CM Plan per Safran policies and contracts.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and suppliers to align CM activities.
