Job summary

Safran Engineering Services is seeking a Configuration Manager for a 12-month contract, initially on-site in Pitstone, UK, with later a mix of on-site and reduced on-site days. The role focuses on configuration management across the product lifecycle, including planning, item/BOM management in a PLM tool, and leading change control activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years Configuration Management experience in rigorous engineering/data environment.
• Experience with CM standards ISO10007.
• Experience in Aerospace/Space/Defense/Automotive/Petro-Chemical industries.

Responsibilities

• Plan CM activities for new and existing projects and tailor CM implementation.
• Create/manage Configuration Items and BOMs in the PLM system, align with stakeholders.
• Co-Chair Change Control Boards and manage configuration change processes across teams.
• Establish and release configuration baselines and documentation to track evolution.
• Ensure compliance with standards (EN9100/ISO10007) and support audits.
