Job summary

Oxford Quantum Circuits is seeking a Configuration Engineer to own and manage hardware configuration data and release records across engineering lifecycles. You will ensure accuracy, traceability and governance of product structures, drawings and revisions while collaborating with Engineering Operations, Design Engineering and Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• Experience managing engineering product data, configuration information or Bills of Materials.
• Experience with formal engineering change-control processes.
• Hands-on experience using PLM or PDM systems for day-to-day engineering-data management.
• Experience identifying and resolving BOM, release-data or configuration discrepancies across multiple teams.
• Strong technical-document and release-management skills.
• Clear understanding of data accuracy, revision control and configuration traceability.
• Strong problem-solving, planning and organisational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with engineering, operations and supply-chain stakeholders.
• Willingness to share knowledge with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Structure and maintain multi-level engineering Bills of Materials reflecting released engineering intent.
• Maintain hardware release records and configuration data across components, assemblies and product revisions.
• Facilitate Engineering Change Request and Engineering Change Order workflows.
• Review technical release packages for completeness and configuration accuracy before release.
• Administer Arena PLM and SolidWorks PDM workflows, including lifecycle states and permissions.
• Maintain alignment across CAD, PDM, PLM and downstream systems with owners to resolve discrepancies.
• Improve configuration-management and hardware-release processes by developing clearer workflows and conventions.
