Job summary

Convene Hospitality Group in Manchester seeks a Conference & Events Manager to lead operations for events, ensuring profitable service levels and high-quality products. You will report to the Venue Manager and guide the service team and culinary coordination to deliver excellent experiences.

The role requires strong supervisory skills, knowledge of health and safety rules, and the ability to train staff while maintaining client satisfaction across programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of progressive experience in a conference center or related field.
• Supervisory responsibilities preferred.
• Strong knowledge of service standards and service types.
• Knowledge of health department rules and liquor laws.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and set up the culinary service for participants.
• Supervise the service team, setup, utilities, maintenance, and security.
• Coordinate culinary service between culinary and service teams.
• Inform culinary of accurate counts and review menus with teams.
• Enforce safety regulations and carry out emergency programs.
• Monitor beverage consumption and ensure sanitation of service areas.
• Maintain front and back of house cleanliness and client satisfaction.
