Marcliffe Hotel, Aberdeen is seeking a Banqueting Bartender to join our events team. If you enjoy delivering memorable guest experiences and thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment, this role could be for you.

You will welcome guests, prepare and serve a range of drinks, maintain bar stock and cleanliness, handle payments, and ensure compliance with licensing. Strong customer service and English communication are essential, with 18+ age and flexibility for busy events.

Formación

• Hospitality experience, ideally 1–2 years.

As a Banqueting Bartender, you'll play an important role in making every event special by providing outstanding beverage service and creating genuine connections with our guests.

What You'll Be Doing

• Welcome guests warmly and professionally, ensuring an excellent first impression.
• Prepare and serve a variety of drinks, cocktails, wines, beers, and other beverages to the highest standards.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations and identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
• Maintain excellent product knowledge to confidently advise guests on our drinks and wine selections.
• Ensure the bar is fully stocked, organised, and ready for service.
• Keep bar and service areas clean, tidy, and presentable throughout events.
• Clear glasses promptly and ensure guests’ needs are attended to throughout their visit.
• Process bills and payments accurately and efficiently.
• Follow bar opening, setup, and closing procedures.
• Check identification and verify customers' ages in accordance with Scottish alcohol licensing legislation.
• Maintain professional grooming and presentation standards at all times.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver seamless, personalised service at events.

What We're Looking For

• Previous hospitality experience, ideally 1-2 years.
• Practical bartending skills, including preparing cocktails and serving wine, beer, spirits, and other beverages.
• A genuine passion for customer service and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A friendly, confident, and professional manner.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to multitask, prioritise, and remain calm under pressure.
• A proactive, hands‑on approach and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Flexibility to meet the demands of a busy events operation.
• A good command of spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of Scottish alcohol licensing legislation is advantageous.
• Must be aged 18 or over.
