Job Title: Concrete Pump Operator - Line Pump

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Concrete Pump Operator with an essential HGV Class 2 licence to join our team in Cambridge. This role will primarily involve operating a line pump from an open transit vehicle to deliver concrete to both domestic and commercial sites, with a focus on domestic projects. On days when concrete pump deliveries are not scheduled, you will be required to operate a Class 2 mixer lorry to transport concrete, adding variety to your daily responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate line pumps to transport and pour concrete at both domestic and commercial sites.

Perform pre-operation checks and regular inspections on equipment, including pipelines.

Set up pipelines and monitor the concrete flow during pumping to ensure consistent quality.

Coordinate with site supervisors and team members to ensure smooth and timely deliveries.

Adhere to all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Conduct routine maintenance and ensure equipment is in good working condition.

Operate the mixer lorry when required (HGV Class 2 licence essential).

Requirements:

HGV Class 2 licence is essential.

Previous experience as a Concrete Pump Operator or in a similar role is preferred.

Physically fit and able to meet the demands of the role.

Strong knowledge of concrete pumps and pipeline setups.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Willingness to undertake a 1-day training session.

Experience in site preparation is advantageous but not essential
