Randstad Technologies Recruitment is recruiting for a Concrete Plant Operative for Holcim Bow in London. The role involves supervising automated and mechanical production of concrete and ensuring safety.

You'll inspect inventory, perform pre-shift checks, calibrate machinery, and operate the plant control systems. This position offers a supportive team, paid holidays, and progression into permanent roles.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Previous construction experience desirable but open to other backgrounds.
• Previous machine operation experience desirable.
• CSCS Card or MP Connect would be desirable.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to conduct manual handling.
• Sound IT literacy skills.
• Some knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Manage the automated and mechanical production of concrete.
• Inspect and monitor inventory levels for cement, aggregates.
• Conduct pre-shift walkarounds, routine machinery calibrations, minor repairs, and cleaning of belts, silos, and mixers.
• Program and monitor approved mix designs into computer-controlled plant systems to ensure precise measurement and consistency.
• Using the computer control system for the plant.
• Navigating the program of works via computer.
• Using tannoy and 2 way radio to communicate with site.
• Practising the highest standards of Health and Safety at all times.
