Job summary

Holcim Battersea is seeking a Concrete Plant Operative to join the team. You will manage automated and mechanical production of concrete and monitor raw material inventories in a fast-paced plant environment.

The role requires reliability, proactivity, and a willingness to learn. CSCS or MP Connect is desirable, with strong communication and safety awareness throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Team-orientated production worker with reliability and willingness to learn.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices in a plant environment.
• Basic IT literacy for computer systems and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage automated and mechanical production of concrete.
• Inspect and monitor inventory levels for cement, aggregates.
• Conduct pre-shift walkarounds and calibrations; perform minor repairs and cleaning.
• Program and monitor mix designs in computer-controlled plant systems.
• Communicate via tannoy and radio with site teams.
• Adhere to Health and Safety standards at all times.
• Support CV editing and application process as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage the automated and mechanical production of concrete.
• Inspect and monitor inventory levels for cement, aggregates
• Conduct pre-shift walkarounds, routine machinery calibrations, minor repairs, and cleaning of belts, silos, and mixers
• Program and monitor approved mix designs into computer-controlled plant systems to ensure precise measurement and consistency.
• Using the computer control system for the plant
• Navigating the program of works via computer
• Using tannoy and 2 way radio to communicate with site
• Practising the highest standards of Health and Safety at all times
• Strong work ethic and desire to learn
• Previous construction experience desirable but open to other backgrounds
• CSCS Card or MP Connect would be desirable
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to conduct manual handling
• Sound IT literacy skills
• Some knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation
• Advice and editing on your current CV
