Computing Teacher & Digital Lead

Salary: £21,661 - £32,596

Allowance: TLR 2a - £3,651

Grade: MPS - UPS

Hours: 19.5

Working Weeks: Full time

Contract: Permanent

Montem is committed to delivering a broad, engaging and bespoke curriculum to ensure our pupils are equipped with the skills and knowledge they will need in their education and future employment. From January 2027, Montem Academy is seeking to appoint a knowledgeable and committed Computing Teacher & Digital Lead. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality computing teaching across the school and lead the development of the Computing curriculum and digital learning.

We are looking for a candidate with strong knowledge of the Computing curriculum who can support staff, monitor standards, and use current research and technology to drive improvements in technology-enabled teaching and learning. This role will include teaching responsibilities across the school, with dedicated leadership time provided as part of the Digital Lead role to lead and develop the Computing curriculum and digital learning.

The ideal candidate will:
  • Be an excellent Computing teacher with a proven track record of securing positive outcomes for pupils.
  • Have strong knowledge of the Computing curriculum and understand what constitutes high-quality Computing provision.
  • Be able to lead, develop and monitor the use of digital devices across the academy to secure high standards and continuous improvement.
  • Be passionate about digital learning and technology and its effective use to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Have a strong understanding of online safety, digital literacy and responsible use of technology.
  • Be able to support, motivate and inspire staff to develop their confidence and practice in Computing and digital learning.
  • Keep up to date with developments in Computing education, educational technology and relevant research.
  • Be able to evaluate provision, use assessment information effectively and identify priorities for improvement.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and review of relevant academy policies and practice
