Computing Teacher - Secondary School - Salford

A forward-thinking Secondary School in Salford is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Computing Teacher to join its team as soon as possible. This is a full-time, permanent position for a teacher who can deliver engaging lessons while helping students build the digital skills and understanding they will need beyond school.

The successful teacher will deliver lessons covering a broad range of Computing topics and will help students develop both practical and theoretical knowledge.

At KS3, you will introduce students to core Computing concepts, programming and digital literacy. At KS4, you will teach Computer Science content in preparation for GCSE examinations, supporting students with programming, algorithms, data representation, computer systems and computational thinking.

The school is looking for someone who can make technical content accessible without losing the academic challenge of the subject. You should be comfortable demonstrating programming concepts, explaining problems step-by-step and encouraging students to solve problems independently.

You will join a supportive department where resources and ideas are shared. The school is also keen to appoint someone who is interested in contributing to the wider development of Computing within the curriculum.
