Job summary

The Supply Register (on behalf of New College Durham) is seeking Computing Lecturers to join our bank staff pool to support learners in developing essential computing, programming and IT skills toward their qualifications.

You will deliver Computing and IT programmes across levels, support learners in programming, networking and digital technologies, prepare students for assessments, monitor progress with feedback, and foster an engaging classroom environment.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computing, Computer Science, IT, or related subject.
  • Experience teaching Computing or IT programmes.
  • Teaching qualification or willingness to obtain.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).

We are seeking Computing Lecturers to join our bank staff pool supporting New College Durham. This is a great opportunity for experienced Computing Lecturers or teachers with Further Education experience.

The Role

As a Computing Lecturer, you will support learners to develop essential digital, programming, and IT skills while working towards their qualifications.

  • Delivering Computing and IT programmes across a range of levels
  • Supporting learners in programming, networking, and digital technologies
  • Preparing students for assessments and examinations
  • Monitoring progress and providing feedback
  • Creating an engaging and supportive classroom environment
What We're Looking For
  • Degree in Computing, Computer Science, IT, or a related subject
  • Experience teaching Computing or IT programmes
  • Teaching qualification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
