Job summary

Wirral Metropolitan College invites applications for ad hoc Bank Staff - Lecturer in Computing. Suitable candidates will have programming and/or cyber security expertise and a full teaching qualification. This role supports teaching, assessments and student guidance on a flexible basis.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in subject discipline.
  • Full recognised teaching qualification.
  • Level 2 or above literacy/English qualification.
  • Level 2 or above mathematics/numeracy qualification.
  • Successful teaching experience.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out formal scheduled teaching, tutorials and assessments. To include the preparation of learning materials, students' assignments and to support students in their studies both during scheduled teaching sessions and during periods of self-directed study.
  • Marking of students' work and examinations, internal moderation and verification, as part of the team.
  • To work alongside colleagues in the monitoring, reviewing and evaluation of all aspects of the programme.
  • To manage and maintain appropriate College records and quality systems to ensure high performance.

Education

Degree or equivalent qualification in subject discipline

Level 2 or above literacy/English qualification
Level 2 or above mathematics/numeracy qualification

Bank Staff - Lecturer in Computing

Wirral Met College are currently looking for Lecturer's in Computing to support our team on an ad hoc basis. We are looking for candidates with a programming and/or cyber security specialism.

Bank staff are paid at an hourly rate.
