Job summary

The Blue Coat School is seeking a Head of Computing to provide strategic leadership across the Computing curriculum and digital learning initiatives. You will work with senior staff to develop policies, schemes of work and cross-curricular opportunities, while ensuring safe and effective use of ICT.

You will oversee staff development, monitor teaching quality, manage resources, and lead online safety and computing improvements across Key Stage 2 and beyond.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Computing across a school and developing the Computing curriculum.
• Ability to mentor staff in ICT and innovative teaching approaches.
• Commitment to safeguarding and school policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead Computing strategy, vision and policy aligned with school aims.
• Develop Schemes of Work and cross-curricular digital learning opportunities.
• Oversee budgeting and resource management for Computing department.
• Provide monitoring, observations and feedback on teaching and learning.
• Lead online safety initiatives and digital citizenship education.
