Job summary

The Blue Coat School seeks a Head of Computing to provide leadership for Computing across the school and to develop a clear Computing Vision Statement aligned with the Curriculum Review Cycle.

You will lead the development of the Digital Learning Strategy, improve cross-curricular digital opportunities, and ensure high standards in teaching and learning while upholding safeguarding and online safety commitments.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for Computing across the school which involves: Strategic Direction and Development
• Liaise with Pre-Prep and Academic Lead to devise and review the Computing Vision Statement and policies
• Lead and manage staff, ensuring ICT is used to enhance teaching and learning
• Plan, implement and organise enrichment opportunities; oversee Schemes of Work for Key Stage 2
• Monitor and evaluate teaching quality, planning, and student progress in Computing
• Lead the online safety programme and support pupils as responsible digital citizens
• Develop budgets for the Computing Department and coordinate CPD and professional development
• Maintain school-wide standards and contribute to safeguarding and policy development
