Job summary

Watling Academy, an Ofsted Outstanding secondary school in Milton Keynes, is seeking a Computing and Business Studies Teacher for a dual-subject role. You will deliver engaging lessons across Computing and Business Studies, fostering programming, digital systems, marketing and enterprise skills while supporting students’ critical thinking and teamwork.

Salary - MPS1 (£34,069) to UPS3 (£52,835)

The Role

Watling Academy is seeking a motivated and engaging Computing and Business Studies Teacher to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a versatile practitioner who enjoys teaching across both subjects and helping students develop valuable digital, analytical and entrepreneurial skills. As a Computing and Business Studies Teacher at Watling Academy, you will:

• Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across Computing and Business Studies, developing students' knowledge in areas such as programming, digital systems, marketing, finance and enterprise.
• Inspire curiosity, innovation and commercial awareness by demonstrating how technology and business interact to shape the modern world.
• Encourage students to become confident problem-solvers and decision-makers through real-world scenarios, investigative activities and enterprise-focused projects.
• Prepare students for future success by helping them develop critical thinking, digital literacy, teamwork and employability skills that will support further study and future careers.
• Be a key part of our supportive team, collaborating with colleagues to deliver an engaging and enriching curriculum that meets the needs of every student.

Watling Academy is an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ secondary school situated on the western edge of Milton Keynes, encompassing the Whitehouse and Fairfields developments.
