The Role

The successful candidate will:

1. Deliver engaging, challenging, and relevant Computer Science lessons across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5.
2. Teach a comprehensive curriculum, including programming (Python/JavaScript), algorithms, cybersecurity, data representation, and software development.
3. Prepare students for success in GCSE and A-Level Computer Science, supporting them to achieve strong academic outcomes.
4. Foster digital literacy, computational thinking, and a passion for technology.
5. Support coding clubs, robotics workshops, and other enrichment opportunities.
6. Make effective use of the school's advanced ICT resources and specialist computing labs.
7. Track, assess, and support student progress with regular, constructive feedback.
8. Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning across the department.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

1. Hold QTS/QTLS with a specialism in Computer Science or a closely related subject.
2. Have experience teaching Computer Science to A-Level, with a proven track record of student progress.
3. Be passionate about preparing students for the digital future through innovative and inclusive teaching.
4. Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and the ability to make complex concepts accessible and engaging.
5. Be a proactive team player with excellent classroom management skills.
