Gensler in the United Kingdom is seeking a Computational Designer to advance parametric design and computational analysis across multiple projects and scales. You will drive BIM and digital modelling workflows and elevate design technology practices within the studio.
Reporting to regional Design Technology leadership, you will develop interoperable BIM pipelines, conduct R&D on new tools, and collaborate with project teams to deliver innovative, high-value client outcomes.
As a Computational Designer, you will be a key member in the Architecture Studio advancing parametric design and computational analysis on a multitude of projects at various scales. You will be an integral part of the Design Technology team, promoting, implementing, and elevating our BIM and digital modelling workflows and protocols in the studio. This unique position combines a direct involvement in prestigious projects in the region with a more strategic role where you will help advance the computational and parametric capabilities, tools and workflows of the Architecture Studio in partnership with the regional Design Technology leadership. We are seeking design professionals with knowledge of the entire design and construction process, as well as a good understanding of computational design tools. Reporting directly to the Regional Design Technology Director and the Studio Director, you will use your soft skills, relationship building and technical expertise to drive with confidence process innovation, optimization and digital workflows/solutions creation and implementation in partnership with your fellow studio members and in collaboration with the Regional Design Technology Team. Ultimately, we believe that this role is a key contributor to delivering the highest value and best outcomes to our clients.
