Job summary

Airbus in Belfast is seeking a Composite Operative for a 12‑month initial contract. You will help manufacture aerospace composites, work 36 hours per week on shift patterns with a 39.5% premium, and require BPSS+ clearance.

As part of a high‑calibre engineering team, you’ll follow defined processes, prepare and lay up materials, perform curing and finishing, and uphold safety and quality in a world‑class aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Warehouse or production experience.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Producing composite components in line with engineering and quality requirements.
• Following defined processes, using supplied materials, tooling and instructions.
• Preparing, cutting and laying up composite materials for autoclave curing.
• Carrying out finishing operations on cured components and tooling.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and compliant working environment at all times.
• Reading and understanding work instructions and production documentation.
• Working flexibly across shift patterns and completing overtime where required.

Pay: £16.25 per hour PAYE / £21.74 per hour Umbrella
Security: BPSS+ clearance required (completed by Airbus Security)

What You'll Be Doing

What You'll Bring

• Experience within the aerospace sector.
• NVQ Level 2 in a manufacturing or engineering discipline (or equivalent).
• Manual Handling training.
