Job summary

TWI Ltd in Cambridge is seeking a Composite Engineer/Project Engineer to support non-metallic materials projects across coatings, polymers and composites. You will plan and run experiments, interpret data and deliver high‑quality technical reports for industrial clients and internal teams.

The role requires a degree in materials science or a related field, with broad knowledge across polymers and composites.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to plan and conduct experiments and interpret results.
• Experience in project planning, coordination or management.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Flexibility to work independently and within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct experiments, trials and test programmes for polymers, coatings and composites.
• Develop testing, characterisation and evaluation methods for non‑metallic materials.
• Support work on composites, coatings and surface technologies; involve testing and data interpretation.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals and client presentations; support business development.
