Job summary

Alpine F1 Team in Enstone is seeking a Design Engineer to join the Composites Design group. You will own your designs from concept through validation, contributing to race-winning components used on the car.

You should have a engineering degree and a solid grasp of first principles; Catia V5/3DX experience is preferred, with NX training available. A proactive, analytical mindset and ability to work with minimal supervision are valued.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Solid grounding in engineering first principles.
• Experience in high-level motorsport is desirable.
• Experience with CAD in CATIA V5/3DX; training available for NX.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to detailed design specifications from cradle to grave, supporting validation, servicing and utilisation and resolving issues as they arise.
• Detail machined parts, patterns, molds and laminates; specify jigs and build tooling.

The Role Of Our Composites Design Engineers

You will be part of the team behind all of our complex composite components and sub-systems, taking ownership of your own designs with the opportunity to apply your theoretical knowledge.

Your Challenge

• Contribute to detailed design specifications from cradle to grave, defining and supporting component or system validation, servicing and utilisation and resolving any issues as they arise.
• Responsibilities include but are not limited to: concept design and scheming components, detailing machined parts, patterns, molds and specifying laminates, extending to the necessary component jigs and build tooling.

Who We Want

We are looking to enhance our talented team with someone who has previous experience, ideally within F1 or another high-level motorsport. You should be educated to degree level or equivalent in Engineering and have a solid base knowledge of engineering first principles.

It would be ideal if you had previous CAD experience with Catia V5/3DX, but we will support with training if NX or similar is your expertise.

We need someone who is self-motivated, analytical, and a pragmatic decision-maker capable of working with minimal supervision. We seek someone with a creative, innovative, and consistent approach to problem-solving.
