Job summary

Volkswagen Financial Services (UK) in Milton Keynes is seeking an undergraduate to join the Legal and Compliance team as a Compliance Undergraduate. You will support regulatory monitoring, policy communications, and governance activities during a 12–13 month placement.

Hybrid work with three in-office days per week and start dates typically in June/July. Applicants must be studying for an undergraduate degree in Business or Law and be within 60 minutes of MK15 8HG.

• Studying towards a Business, Law or related degree with interest in compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a register of regulatory landscape changes and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Summarise and assess impact of regulatory changes on business activities.
• Help manage the compliance policy inbox for advisory on compliance matters.
• Support monthly committee packs by gathering and organising management information.
• Lead, organise and minute Compliance Team meetings.
• Observe monthly committee and forum meetings where appropriate.
• Support compliance monitoring reviews through scoping, testing and reporting.
• Coordinate regulatory returns across the business as requested by the FCA and VWFS AG.
• Support data protection and legal projects as required.

Salary: £23,915.49

Contract: 12-13months FTC Start dates are usually in June/July

Hybrid working: We want you to get the best out of your placement, so we operate a hybrid policy where undergraduates work in the office 3 days per week. There may be times where you will need to be in more frequently depending on the needs of the business.

We’re looking for an undergraduate to join our Legal and Compliance team as a Compliance Undergraduate where you will support colleagues who help protect VWFS from regulatory and compliance risks. You will gain broad exposure to financial services regulation, compliance monitoring, regulatory change, committee governance and customer-focused risk management. What will you be doing?

• Maintain a register of regulatory landscape changes and communicate relevant updates to stakeholders.
• Support the team in summarising and assessing the impact of regulatory changes on business activities.
• Help manage the compliance policy inbox used to advise on compliance matters across the business.
• Support preparation of monthly committee packs by gathering and organising management information.
• Lead, organise and minute Compliance Team meetings.
• Observe monthly committee and forum meetings where appropriate.
• Support compliance monitoring reviews through scoping, testing and reporting stages.
• Coordinate regulatory returns across the business as requested by the FCA and VWFS AG.
• Support business projects and opportunities across Data Protection and Legal where required.

• Studying towards a Business, Law or related degree, with a genuine interest in compliance.

• Good interpersonal skills and a strong team-player approach.
• Resilient, self-motivated and able to work under own initiative.
• Able to learn and apply unfamiliar knowledge quickly.
• Methodical, analytical and disciplined, with high attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent IT skills, especially PowerPoint, Excel and Word; experience using AI tools would be beneficial.
