Compliance Planning Team Leader

Salary: £35,690 - £38,101 per annum (plus excellent benefits)

Location: Walsall, West Midlands (hybrid working, but presence in the office and on site required to meet business needs)

Contract: Full Time, Permanent, 37 hours per week

Overview of role:

Are you an experienced Planning Team Leader with a passion for compliance and customer service? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where efficiency and accuracy are key? We’re looking for a Compliance Planning Team Leader to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our Compliance Planning Team. In this role, you’ll lead a team of Work Planners, ensuring that building compliance workstreams including Gas, Electrical, Fire Safety, and Asbestos are scheduled effectively with a right-first-time approach.

Main responsibilities:
  1. Ensure all building compliance reactive and cyclical works are planned efficiently, in line with service level agreements and legislation.
  2. Maintain excellent customer service levels to both external and internal customers.
  3. Collaborate with the building compliance management team to maximize engineer efficiency.
  4. Ensure the Compliance Planning Team is adequately resourced to handle demand peaks.
  5. Analyze planning and scheduling data to identify trends and forecast future work demand.
  6. Report on team performance and interpret various data to improve processes.
  7. Manage team performance, including conducting quality assurance checks and following up on recommendations.
  8. Monitor targets and KPIs, ensuring timely completion of tasks and compliance adherence.
  9. Support internal compliance audits and investigations into customer complaints, applying learnings to improve service.
  10. Deputize for the Compliance Manager when needed.
  11. Work with stakeholders to achieve 100% landlord compliance across activities.
Requirements:
  • Understanding of planning and scheduling software and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience supervising or leading a planning and scheduling team.
  • Proven ability to manage high volumes of work orders.
  • Track record of driving performance improvements through team management.
  • Knowledge of building compliance and health and safety legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to coordinate teams and challenge performance where necessary.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills.
  • Experience producing reports and analyzing data to inform decisions.
