About the role:

As the Compliance Officer, you will be an integral part of the membership services team, providing invaluable advice and support on regulatory and compliance matters. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on navigating complex compliance regulations and is passionate about making a tangible difference in sectors.

Main responsibilities of the role include:

1. Delivering day-to-day compliance advice to members in an accessible and practical manner.
2. Monitoring changes in regulations, business standards, and sector guidance.
3. Collaborating with membership and policy teams to ensure a cohesive approach to support.
4. Drafting and maintaining up-to-date resources and guidance documents.
5. Identifying recurring compliance issues and escalating them for further review.
6. Developing and delivering briefings or training to enhance understanding of obligations.
7. Supporting the wider team in responding to consultations and government proposals.
8. Attending sector and regulatory meetings to stay informed and represent member interests.

Candidate requirements:

1. Demonstrable experience in compliance, regulation, or governance.
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.
3. Confidence in providing advice to a diverse range of stakeholders.
4. High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
5. Ability to analyse regulatory documents and draft practical, member-facing materials.
6. Experience working with or in a membership organisation, professional body, or regulated setting.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance-related software.
