Job Description:

Coopman Search and Selection is partnering with a top-tier multi-strat hedge fund with approximately $3 billion AUM, seeking to hire a Compliance Officer to work alongside the Head of Compliance and a compliance analyst.

In this role, you will assist the Head of Compliance as an experienced team member, supporting the daily operations of the global compliance program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement training programs to ensure effective compliance education.
• Manage the routine compliance monitoring program.
• Conduct market abuse monitoring and detailed trade reviews.
• Research new and emerging legal and regulatory areas.
• Maintain compliance registers, including personal trading, breaches, errors, incidents, and gifts & entertainment.
• Oversee the firm’s restricted lists and sanctions monitoring.
• Prepare compliance reports for the board and clients.
• Review and approve marketing materials; advise on marketing rules across jurisdictions.
• Handle regulatory reporting and staff attestations.

Experience Required:

• 4-8 years in financial services, preferably within a hedge fund or asset manager.
• Broad compliance experience.
• Solid understanding of FCA & SEC regulations.
• Knowledge of fund structures such as UCITS, Cayman, and managed accounts.
• Energetic, driven, resilient, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
