Job Description:

Coopman Search and Selection is partnering with a top-tier multi-strat hedge fund with approximately $3 billion AUM, seeking to hire a Compliance Officer to work alongside the Head of Compliance and a compliance analyst.

In this role, you will support the Head of Compliance as a senior member of the Compliance team, assisting with the daily operations of the global compliance program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in establishing training programs to ensure effective development
• Manage the routine compliance monitoring program
• Conduct market abuse monitoring, including trade reviews
• Research new and emerging legal and regulatory areas
• Maintain compliance registers (personal trading, breaches, errors, incidents, gifts, entertainment)
• Oversee the firm’s restricted lists and sanctions monitoring
• Prepare compliance reports for the board and clients
• Review and approve marketing materials; advise on marketing regulations across jurisdictions
• Handle regulatory reporting and staff attestations

Experience Required:

• 4-8 years in financial services, preferably within hedge funds or asset management
• Generalist compliance experience
• Strong knowledge of FCA & SEC regulations
• Understanding of fund structures like UCITS, Cayman, and managed accounts
• Energetic, driven, resilient, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment
