Job summary

Selwood Housing is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to lead our compliance programmes, ensuring homes are safe and services compliant. You will oversee contractors, performance and budgets while guiding a team of compliance professionals.

Reporting to the Head of Compliance, M&E and Operational Administration, you will deliver high standards, maintain regulatory obligations, and drive continuous improvement across a varied portfolio.

Qualifications

• Level 5+ building/construction qualification or equivalent.
• Leadership qualification such as CMI or ILM (level 3+).
• Extensive experience managing compliance programmes.
• Strong construction/maintenance technical knowledge.
• Proven leadership to manage teams of professionals.
• Knowledge of current building codes, legislation and regulations.
• Committed to creating an inclusive environment for staff and customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of compliance services to keep homes safe and compliant.
• Oversee multiple programmes, contract performance, budgets and KPIs.
• Ensure statutory and regulatory obligations are met.

We're looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to lead the operational delivery of our compliance programmes, ensuring our homes remain safe, our services remain compliant, and our customers receive the high standards they deserve. You'll provide leadership to a team of compliance professionals while overseeing contractors, performance, budgets, and regulatory requirements across a varied compliance portfolio.

About The Role

As our Compliance Manager, you'll lead the delivery of compliance services that help keep our homes safe and compliant. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, M&E and Operational Administration, you'll provide leadership to Compliance Project Surveyors and Compliance Supervisors, ensuring programmes are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

You'll oversee multiple compliance programmes, manage contractor performance, monitor budgets and KPIs. You'll Bring

• Level 5 or above in building / construction related qualification or equivalent experience/qualification.
• Relevant Leadership qualification CMI / ILM or equivalent level 3 or above.
• Extensive knowledge and experience within management of compliance programmes.
• Excellent construction/maintenance technical knowledge.
• Leadership skills to lead & motivate a range of teams of professional and support staff to deliver excellent services to our customers.
• Knowledge of current legislation, codes of practice and regulations relating to building and maintenance.
• A commitment to creating an inclusive environment where colleagues and customers are treated with fairness, dignity and respect.
