Porsche Cars Great Britain is offering a Compliance Intern placement at its Reading office. The role supports the Compliance function with oversight, governance, and administration as part of a 10-month placement year for a student currently studying an undergraduate degree.

Responsibilities include Compliance sub-processes, KYC checks, incident handling, GDPR issues, and training organisation. Candidates should be on track for a 2:1 and fluent in English.

Qualifications

• Studying a degree in Finance, Economics, Law, Business, Politics, History, International Relations, or similar analytical course; aiming for a 2:1 undergraduate degree or above.
• Ability to work quickly, independently and with high attention to detail.
• Desire to understand Compliance, Risk Management and Anti-Money Laundering operations.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Positive attitude and ability to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation and assurance of compliance sub-processes (planning, training, incident management, KYC, audits, reporting).
• Manage the Compliance Helpdesk and log queries, helping resolve issues.
• Assist with open-source searches, KYC and money laundering checks for customers and suppliers.
• Support GDPR issues, data rights requests, and privacy breach handling.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with FCA rules and internal directives.
• Organise face-to-face training events and maintain attendee registers.
• Prepare Compliance updates and concise PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist in general Compliance admin, document management, and intranet updates.
