We are currently seeking a Compliance Coordinator to join our team at our Rotherham site. As a Compliance Coordinator, you will work closely with our internal Health and Safety and compliance teams to ensure the company maintains all required certifications and is legally compliant in all its health, safety, and quality activities.
Job responsibilities of a Compliance Coordinator include:
- Ensure all training records and safety documentation are maintained accurately, and in line with legislative and company requirements.
- Responsible for the writing, reviewing, approval, and storage of all site-controlled documents.
- Develop a Site Safety Management Plan (SMP) to ensure a consistent safe working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Regularly audit the SMP for compliance and update it accordingly to adhere to legislative and company requirements.
- Assist in coordinating and implementing training and processes related to Health and Safety and Food Standards programs.
- Participate in incident investigations to determine root causes and corrective actions, ensuring follow-up and completion.
- Ensure all site inspections are completed on time, and any corrective actions are addressed promptly.
- Maintain current safety boards and communication zones with policies, certifications, rules, and safety information.
- Prepare for and participate in audits such as BRCGS, MHRA, and safety audits.
- Communicate and coach site staff to ensure safety expectations are understood and met.
- Maintain high standards of training, BRCGS compliance, and health & safety within the working environment.
- Ensure timely site maintenance that does not compromise safety and hygiene standards.
- Organize and facilitate site meetings related to training, audits, and safety.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in maintaining training records and managing MHE training.
- Support and coordinate BRCGS auditing, including following up on non-conformances.
- Ensuring compliance with Food Safety & Quality Assurance procedures during inspections.
- Supporting the attainment of BRCGS certification.
- Experience with document control, corrective and preventive actions, and trend analysis.
- Ability to work with site teams on Quality Management, Hygiene Operations, Allergen Management, and Pest Control.
- Experience liaising with regional SHEQ colleagues and participating in regional meetings.
